I finally decided to put one of these things up - 'bout time!
Today is just another day "on the dole" looking for that next gig - yesterday the fortnightly unemployment check from Michigan came in so I have another 724 bucks to live with. Quite the change from when I was employed.
Yesterday Susie (wife) called to ask why ascent wasn't working all the sudden - at least she said that good ol' XP downloaded a major update and she got tied of it bugging her so she installed it. That was when it quit - yes it was SP2 and I told her to pull that hunk-o-junk off her PC. Of course the IT folks there should have known about it but then again they don't seem too bright since she calls me before them. I guess I should say I applied for a gig there and the IT dude wanted someone in Glenwood Spgs for the job (and they didn't put that in the job desc.) so he wouldn't hire me - Susie thinks that I'd be a threat to his job security.
