On a new Trail

Today Pete and Ione took off on their journey to Telluride. After the usual Sunday fare of church, shopping, plus a nap, we went off on a journey of our own. Susie thought it would be good to take a little hike. It was decided that we'd try the Mt Garfield Trail.

Needless to say we weren't the first up that trail. There were plenty of scribbles on a rock about 1/2 km up the trail. We went up a bit farther but decided to turn back around because it was getting late and the trail was really (and I mean REALLY) steep. It was steep enough that the footing was difficult and one slip might mean a 200' slide down the side of the mountain.

We got home real tired but we had a good trip.
