pickin' and more

Last night we went to Borders for a night of pickin' and grinnin'. Robert got to play with a band that needed some practice but the bass player couldn't make it. Susie is still fighting with a pesky little cough but got up to sing a few anyway. The other pickers kept speeding up the songs to the point of making them almost unplayable. Some people just like to show off.

This morning we went to the 9HealthFair. We stood in line for about 2 hours (not a joke!) for the blood draw. Susie had no problem but Robert had an intern that severely overshot the vein and had to call for help. The real phlebotomist had no problem. Otherwise the other tests we went through showed we are in good health. We'll see what the blood work shows.

There's been some new happenings back in Michigan at Robert's old work place. The PD for the oldies is moving to Baton Rouge. We wish him the best and now we'll have a new place to visit.

BTW the Oprah program mentioned in an earlier post hasn't aired yet and we don't know when or if it will.
