The Holidays

We have survived the holidays, they seem to get busier every year. This year we went to the Denver area to have Christmas with Robert's Family. We got to eat two Christmas Dinners in one day, ham was served earlier in the day with Robert's Mom and turkey later with his Dad. Needless to say, we did not go hungry. During the Christmas gatherings we also got to meet up with Robert's brother (Tony) and family and his sister (Cathy). It was fun to do some catching up.

The rest of our visit in the big city included visiting with friends and shopping. We were glad to find a place to buy decent shoes. The shoes stores in Grand Junction tend to carry fashionable shoes but not much in the practical/comfortable category. Between the two of us we spent $200, but our feet will be much happier.

For New Year's Eve, we had a bluegrass jam/party at our house. It was the first time we have had more than just a couple of people in the house. Susie went overboard on the food but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
